In the lap of mountains and the heart of chamba in Himachal Pradesh we have Laxmi narayan temple, remains open all day. Requires some steep walking but all’s worth it.
One of the best preserved religious structure in the Himalayas of the times of yore.
These 1000 year old temples remind us all of the great architectural acumen that our forefathers possessed.
Intricate carving in the Nagara style temples makes them suitable for a spellbinding view.
The chief deity is Laxmi & Narayan while other temples have been dedicated to other gods. The entrance to this temple Is marked by a beautiful wooden gate.
